T.I.’s Older Sister Precious Harris Dead at 66 Following Car Accident
Rapper T.I.’s older sister Precious Harris has died at the age of 66.
According to TMZ, Harris died on Friday, over a week after getting into a serious car accident in Atlanta.
Sharing a touching tribute with her mother on Friday, Harris’ daughter Kamaya wrote that she was “heartbroken.”
“From my bestfriend on earth to My beautiful angel in heaven,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a shot of her mother smiling by the beach. “Mama girl you know ima miss you💔…. I love you so much. I’m so heartbroken but the way you looked so @ peace this past week has confirmed that you are resting… no more asthma attacks… damn but baby I am going to miss you 😓”
Harris has three children: Kayama Chapman, Avis Chapman-Reese and Kareem “Plug” Chapman.
Kareem went on to memorialize his mother in his own touching tribute, writing, “I got to spend 38 amazing years with this Angel but today my Mom made her transition to be with the Lord. Cherish your time yall as my mom @preciousharris1913 did! She danced, she loved and most importantly she LIVED. Im gone miss the s— out of this woman! Pray for our family, myself @kamayadaplug@troubleman31 @the.leading.man.”
Although T.I., 38, has yet to break his silence on his sister’s death, one day before the rapper shared a photo of the pair smiling together on his Instagram page, writing, “we love you dearly baby girl.”
Days earlier, the rapper (born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr.) also shared a photo that appeared to show Harris standing in front of a life-size image of the star.
“I Love You Sis,” he wrote, adding a red heart emoji. “We can’t thank you enough 🙏🏽 #MyBiggestFan.”
The rapper’s wife also asked her fans for their prayers earlier this week.
“Prayer WARRIORS send some prayers up for Tip’s beautiful big sister@preciousharris1913,” she wrote, adding multiple prayer hands and heart emojis.
In the last post from Precious’ Instagram, which was shared last Friday, her daughter asked that Precious’ friends, family and fans continue to pray for her.
“This is her daughter. Please continue to pray for her as she continues to fight ❤️🙏🏽WE will get through this thanks so much everybody.”
Reps for the rapper did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Harris has been featured in two reality shows that follow T.I. and his wife’s life: VH1’s T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle and T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle.
TMZ previously reported that T.I. and Tiny shut down production of their reality show Friends & Family Hustle following Precious’ car accident on Feb 13.
Sources told the outlet that during the accident, Precious hit a pole, which triggered an asthma attack. Afterwards, she was reportedly taken to the hospital, where she was placed in the intensive care unit.
