Baltimore police officer arrested, Spencer Moore, 14-year veteran, faces drug trafficking charges

BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- Baltimore City Police announced the arrest of an officer Wednesday.
Interim Commissioner Tuggle briefed the media on the arrest of the officer, charged with drug trafficking in Baltimore County.
Officer Spencer Moore was arrested Tuesday night on drug charges.
He is a 14-year-veteran of the police department.
Police say the charges stemmed from the distribution of prescription drugs.
Interim Police Commissioner Gary Tuggle says, "I do want to say this type of activity is simply not going to be tolerated. Everyday men and women put this uniform on and they go out with a sense of pride and dignity as they execute their mission..."
Moore has been on suspension for several months for an unrelated incident.
He was on suspension with pay, that has since changed following his arrest last night according to police.
Moore is now suspended without pay.
He is currently being held without bail.
This is a developing story.
