Kobe Bryant Surprises Bryson Thompson, 6-Year Old with Epilepsy, on 'The View'

Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant surprised a six-year-old with epilepsy on Wednesday's episode of The View.

As seen in the following picture, Bryant appeared on set to present Bryson Thompson with an autographed jersey.

Bryson began having seizures in 2015, but his condition has been aided by the Jack's Helping Hand organization, which paid for a helmet for Bryson to protect him from seizures.

Bryson's eight-year-old brother, Brock, came up with the idea to auction off signed helmets and other sports memorabilia to raise money for Jack's Helping Hand.

The initiative is called Helmets4Helmets.

After Bryson and his family were presented with a bunch of memorabilia signed by some of the biggest athletes in sports, Bryant appeared on the stage and gave Bryson and Brock each an autographed Lakers jersey to be auctioned.

According to Allie Yang of ABC News, Bryant said, "We all have a ... responsibility to each other, to help one another. If you have the opportunity to do that, it's our responsibility as people to help one another. ... It's [as] simple as that."

As an 18-time All-Star, five-time NBA champion and future Hall of Famer, Bryant's jerseys will likely go a long way toward raising funds for Jack's Helping Hand.
